VARIABLE SPEED DRIVES

Variable speed drives (VSDs) are used to, as the name suggests, vary the speed of a motors, fans, and pumps. They ensure the appliance’s speed and torque match the exact requirements of the process they’re involved in. Whichever of your industrial systems requires, or includes, a variable speed drive, our specialist electrical contractors can help with all aspects of fitting and repair.

HOW WE CAN HELP YOU

VSD HUNTLEY SKINNER

Installing new VSDs

If your pump, motor, or fan has an energy demand that changes during its operating times, a VSD can make it much more efficient. Our industrial electricians will take a look at your device, determine whether a VSD will be useful, and schedule an appointment to fit one at a time that suits you.

Replacing obsolete VSDs

Got an older VSD that’s costing you more than it’s worth in repairs, or failed completely? We’re happy to assist you in finding an up-to-date replacement. Our electricians can offer advice on the best type of VSD for your device, and provide a free quote for installing it.

Repairing VSDs

Experiencing overload faults? Your VSD may not have the right rating for the work it does, or it could be something as simple as a change in temperature, clogged filters, or a dusty cooling fan. If you’re encountering these, or any other issues, we’ll send one of our industrial electricians to investigate.
